Suicide & Crisis Hotline

On July 16th, the nation’s first nationwide mental health emergency number went live. Designed to be as accessible as 9-1-1, the new 9-8-8 hotline will connect callers with trained mental health counselors. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.
